I want ZOMG AMAZING to be a technical blogging term, but I'd definitely end up overusing it haha!
- AllieAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10938589355281359827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5241042113714033295.post-69384523625880860392016-07-13T15:59:49.411+01:002016-07-13T15:59:49.411+01:00Ooh, good point! I think maybe because I haven't seen much like Carol in the past, helped me to enjoy it more :)
Glad to know the book isn't worth it though, which sounds odd but I want to cry every time I'm told 'the book is so much better' because I don't have the time to read them all, ha!
- AllieAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10938589355281359827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5241042113714033295.post-56718915629194052112016-07-12T18:43:30.072+01:002016-07-12T18:43:30.072+01:00Totally agree with you that the score is AMAZING. ...Totally agree with you that the score is AMAZING. I think the film is pretty much perfect, but all the craft elements (score, costumes, production design, etc.) are just above and beyond really. And don't get me started on how incredible the acting is. From EVERYONE (except Rooney Mara, who is only just excellent as opposed to ZOMG AMAZING lol).Danielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11480863610135936930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5241042113714033295.post-28056074206794074612016-07-12T17:23:48.514+01:002016-07-12T17:23:48.514+01:00You bring up an interesting point about "peri...You bring up an interesting point about "period dramas" I always think of them as Renaissance type films. You liked this one more than I did. I thought it was beautifully shot and acted, but the story wasn't that great for me. I didn't care for the book either, though I wanted to so badly. I'm so glad that you gave this a shot ...YAY!!! I'm so glad that you gave this a shot despite it not being your kind of film, and that you were pulled in by it's beautiful story. This was my #2 favorite film of last year (right behind Inside Out) and what a powerful experience this was.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
